Christie Clinic at Provena Covenant Medical Center welcomes Shamim Sadiq, MD and Sachin Patil, MD to the Department of Hospital Medicine.  As physicians in the Department of Hospital Medicine, Drs. Sadiq and Patil provide quality medical treatment to individuals while they are in the hospital. They manage and coordinate inpatient care for Christie patients and work close with patients’ primary care physicians.

Dr. Sadiq received her medical degree at Government Medical College in Kashmir, India. She fulfilled her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of North Dakota and the University of Illinois at UC.

“I tend to keep my life balanced and learn lessons from everyday experiences at work, which is very humbling. Communication is very important to me,” said Dr. Sadiq. “Sometimes anxiety and fear of the unknown in a patient can be calmed by just sitting with the patient and telling him/her that we will do our best to help them.”

Dr. Patil received his medical degree at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, in Kamataka, India. He fulfilled his residency in Internal Medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

 “I communicate with my patients in a friendly professional manner so that I can understand their medical problems and manage them in an efficient timely manner,” Dr. Patil said. “I want my patients to feel that they are under the care of an efficient professional physician.”
