Dr. Kimberly Eickmeier was appointed to the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) board of directors as president of the Division Presidents Council. In this position, she will provide communication between the board of directors of the ACFAS and the general membership as well as serve as an advisory body to the board of directors on current policies, education and research, and strategic planning. Her role in this position will start in February 2010.

 ACFAS is a professional network comprised of more than 6,000 foot and ankle surgeons. Their goal is to encourage advancement in foot, ankle, and other lower extremity surgeries, discuss problems foot and ankle surgeons may encounter, and continue to enhance and develop education and surgical techniques.
