Christie Clinic Offers Free Lecture Series on Diabetes
Public welcome to attend

CHAMPAIGN, IL—This spring, health care providers will hold a series of diabetes seminars from 5-6 p.m. in the Education Room on the second floor of Christie on Windsor.

This is a great opportunity to learn about living with diabetes. There is no cost to attend, and each lecture is open to the public. The Diabetes Lecture Series will include the following topics:

• March 1—Welcome and general diabetes overview by Dr. John Stokes
• March 8—Diabetes and the eye by Dr. Chris Schmidt
• March 15—Glucose monitoring and self care with diabetes by Certified Diabetic Educator Ann Marriott
• March 22—Oral Medications and Insulin for diabetics by Christie pharmacist and Dr. Stokes
• March 29—Exercise for diabetics by Medical Exercise Specialist Lisa Carlson
• April 5—Diabetes and foot care by Dr. Kimberly Eickmeier
• April 12—Kidney disease and diabetes by Dr. Hanan Fahmy
• April 19—Living with chronic disease by Andrea Cardani, LCSW
• April 26—Diabetes and diet by dietician Tiffany Dahl
• May 3—Complications and new findings by Dr. John Stokes
