Champaign, IL - Christie Clinic is pleased to announce that certified nurse midwife Cathy Hinton has joined its team.

"Christie Clinic continues to add new services to our patients," said R. Alan Gleghorn, Chief Executive Officer of Christie Clinic. "This is just one more way we continue to provide our patients medicine for their lives." 

As a member of Christie Clinic's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hinton provides primary care to women, including preventative care, pregnancy, and delivery. Hinton's primary focuses are providing antenatal and postpartum care and labor and delivery support. She will work in collaboration with department physicians, treat minor illnesses and perform routine gynecological exams.

Hinton previously served eight years as a labor and delivery nurse at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. She received her bachelor's degree with honors from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL and received her master's degree with honors in nursing sciences with a special focus in maternal/child nursing and women's health from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004.

Christie Clinic has provided health care to the residents of central Illinois for more than 75 years. It is the oldest multi-specialty medical group practice in central Illinois.
