Dr. Barry Jay Riskin Receives Guardian Angel Award
Christie Clinic is pleased to announce that Barry Jay Riskin, MD, Section Chief in the Department of Neurology, was named a Provena Covenant Medical Center Guardian Angel. He was given a certificate to recognize his outstanding care. This is Dr. Riskin’s second time receiving this award.
“I am humbled and honored to receive this recognition,” said Dr. Riskin. “In the course of the care of patients, doctors are called upon often to do extraordinary things. But in reality, it is the ordinary things that tend to make the biggest difference in both the patients’ experience and their sense of wellbeing.”
The Guardian Angel Program at Provena lets patients and their families show their appreciation for health care employees by making a financial contribution to the hospital in the employee’s name. These contributions support a number of Provena programs and services.
