CHAMPAIGN, IL—On Monday, May 31, Christie Clinic in Mahomet, at 1001 Commercial Drive, will begin their extended summer hours for Well Woman Preventative Exams.

“Our extended hours for Well Woman Preventative Exams will give women in Mahomet more options, flexibility and convenience,” said Dr. Candace McGregor, Christie Clinic’s Ob/Gyn in Mahomet.  “We are all about doing what’s best for our patients and think the extended hours will be a great benefit to them.”

Well Woman Preventative Exams include annual pap smears.  Healthy women should have a pap smear once a year.  A pap smear is an examination under the microscope of cells scraped from the cervix. It can detect cancerous or precancerous conditions of the cervix.
