Departments
Cardiology
Christie cardiology specialists diagnose and treat diseases of the heart and blood vessels. They make use of both noninvasive and invasive diagnostic tests.
Their noninvasive tests include echocardiograms, electrocardiographicstress tests, 24-hour Holter monitors, signal-averaging electrocardiograms, and standard, nuclear, and echocardiographic stress tests.
Their invasive diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures include diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, endomyocardial biopsies, percutaneous balloon angioplasties, coronary atherectomies, and intracoronary stent placements.
Christie cardiologists may also supervise outpatient cardiac rehabilitation and community exercise programs that supplement routine post-operative care for patients who have undergone cardiac surgeries.
In addition, we offer the Caring for Your Heart program, a personalized program for total heart health. Through it, our specialists provide one-on-one recommendations to help patients reduce their risk for heart disease. Call the Department of Cardiology to set up your appointment today.
