Dermatology

Christie dermatologists evaluate and treat patients with problems of the skin, including warts, benign and malignant skin growths (such as moles and skin cancer), rashes, hives, eczema, and psoriasis. Treatments may involve medication, surgery, or use of phototherapy and photochemotherapy facilities. The Department of Dermatology can also perform Mohs surgery, a skin cancer treatment that gives patients a better chance for recovery.

In addition, Christie Clinic's Cosmetic Laser Center uses state-of-the-art laser technology to provide noninvasive cosmetic treatments quickly, safely, and effectively. This new treatment, which is less painful than traditional treatments, can:

  • Reduce facial redness due to rosacea
  • Reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and pore size
  • Correct cosmetic blemishes
  • Achieve permanent hair reduction
  • Eliminate spider veins
  • Do away with varicose veins
  • Improve scarring
