Family Medicine

Christie's Department of Family Medicine is here to meet the varied health care needs of all families. As primary care providers, family medicine physicians promote wellness care for infants, children, and adults. They also diagnose and treat non-surgical illnesses and disorders for patients of all ages. If a patient's condition warrants further treatment by a specialist, the family medicine physician will refer the patient to a physician in the appropriate specialty department. The Department of Family Medicine is also dedicated to serving the community as a resource on preventive medicine issues.
