Drug treatments: Other drug therapies

If your doctor prescribes cholesterol-lowering medication, be sure you know the answers to the following questions before leaving your doctor's office:

  • How much should you take?
  • How often should you take it?
  • What time of day should it be taken?
  • How should you take it? (With food, etc.)
  • What other drugs cannot be taken at the same time?
  • What are the possible side effects? (And let your doctor know if you have any.)
