That's the vision and goal of the Charles W. Christie Foundation. Subscribing to the belief that health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, the Foundation strives to improve the quantity and quality of health care education available to the general public.

The mission of the Charles W. Christie Foundation is to enhance medical knowledge, education, and medical services for citizens and health care practitioners in east central Illinois.

To accomplish its mission, the Charles W. Christie Foundation is committed to:

  • Promoting education and training to increase and enhance medical knowledge for the benefit of both health care practitioners and the general public
  • Sponsoring symposia, scientific programs, and meetings on health care topics
  • Providing scholarships for training and education to qualified individuals in the medical sciences and allied health fields
  • Offering management and funding for medical services
  • Presenting grants to community health organizations whose mission is supportive of medical research and education

Rapp Health Profession Scholarship

The Charles W. Christie Foundation is proud to offer the Rapp Health Profession Scholarship to area students interested in serving the health care needs of east central Illinois. To be considered for this scholarship, download an application, fill it out, print it, and send it to the address at the bottom of the application form. The deadline for the application is March 31, 2010.
