Christie Clinic is now offering a variety of Physical Therapy services at its facility at 1710 E. Windsor Road in Urbana. These services include pelvic floor rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, and general orthopaedic therapy. The Department of Physical Therapy in Urbana will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Pelvic floor rehabilitation focuses on the muscles of the pelvic floor and treats conditions involving dysfunction of the pelvic floor such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and issues during prenatal and postpartum periods. Vestibular rehabilitation consists of a movement and exercise approach to therapy with goals of decreasing or eliminating dizziness and vertigo and improving balance function and safety.
Providers from the Department of Physical Therapy that are currently located at Christie Clinic on Fox Drive will be seeing patients in Urbana. Kathleen Ruhter, PT, and Kristi Gresch, PT will see patients for vestibular rehabilitation. Patients that are being seen for pelvic floor rehabilitation will see Rachel Gonsalves, PT, or Kristi Gresch, PT. All of these therapists, as well as Katy Dhom, PTA, will be available to provide orthopaedic therapy to patients.
