Dr. Ona Uzodike in Christie Clinic’s Department of Family Medicine is now offering group medical visits (shared medical appointments). The purpose of these appointments is to address specific medical issues, as well as other areas of concern to a patient. There is a special emphasis on lifestyle interventions that can help patients reverse vascular inflammation, heart disease, diabetes, pre-diabetes, high cholesterol and triglycerides and safely get off medications or at least prevent the progression of disease.
The mental wellness program is designed specifically for patients with depression, anxiety, difficulty initiating sleep, or who have early morning awakening. It can also help individuals who want to improve their mental well-being. It will address non-medical treatments of depression and can safely help patients get off antidepressants with their physician’s approval.
The appointments are held in the Windsor Education Room on the second floor of Christie Clinic located at 1801 W. Windsor Road in Champaign. Each visit will last 2 hours and is offered in a group setting. Co-pays will be collected when patients check in for the appointment per his/her insurance. Patients may bring a family member at no further cost.
