December 12, 2011
Christie Clinic’s Transformations Weight Loss program is holding a clothing drive through the month of December. The incentive is for those losing weight to donate clothing items that no longer fit. Transformations members typically begin collecting clothes that are the improper size within the first one to two months of the diet. Every 10-15 pounds lost is approximately one clothing size, depending on clothing style and brand.
The clothing drive began on December 1 and will end on December 29. All clothing and accessories such as belts will be accepted. The goal is to collect 300 pounds of clothes by the end of the month. All donations will be sent to Salt & Light in Champaign.
As of December 8, 132 pounds of clothing had been donated.
Donations can be dropped off at the Transformations Clinic at 700 S. Gregory Street in Urbana. For any questions, please call 217.366.7460.
