Judy Brown, Administrative Assistant, has been with Clinical Research since 2000. She is the Study Coordinator for our registry studies.  Previously, she worked at Provena hospital in Home Health and Human Resources, as well as having additional administrative experience in other corporate settings. Faith Gabel, RN, Clinical Research Coordinator joined Clinical Research in August 2011. Previously she worked as an operating room nurse and supervisor for Provena Covenant Medical Center. She is IATA certified, and has completed CITI Good Clinical Practice training. Patti Smith, RN, BSN, CCRC, CHRC, Manager, joined Clinical Research in January, 2010.  She brings a unique set of skills to the research department, with a 30 year nursing career spanning in-patient & outpatient settings, as well as inner city clinic supervision and private practice administration.  Seven of those years, she served as lead clinical research coordinator for adult and pediatric studies where she gained expertise in research administration, including research billing and Medicare coverage analysis.  She also assisted with the design and implementation of investigator-initiated studies and is a published author.   She has earned her certification in Research Healthcare Compliance and Clinical Research.  Patti can be reached at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 217-366-2259.

Paula Phillips, RN, CCRC, Clinical Research Coordinator joined Christie Clinic in September, 1989.   Prior to joining the Clinical Research Department in July of 2000 she worked as a staff nurse in the Internal Medicine Department.  She is experienced in all aspects and processes from start up to the close out of Phase II-IV trials.  She has experience in various disease processes and has been the lead Study Coordinator in over 30 Clinical Trials.  She has acquired her ACRP Certification, IATA certification, and CITI training as well.  Paula can be reached at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 217-366-1327.

Kathleen Collins, M.D. (not pictured), Medical Director joined Christie Clinic in 1991. While she has been involved in clinical research most of that time, she has been the director since 1997.   Dr. Collins completed her residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles, California and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.  She has served as the Principal Investigator as well as a Sub-Investigator in several Phase II-IV Clinical Trials during this time period.  She keeps current on Research Good Clinical Practices.  You may contact Dr. Collins at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
