• Why I Chose Health Care
  "I knew that I wanted to become a physical therapist when I was a sophomore in high school. I was hit head-on by a drunk driver and ended up having several surgeries to correct the damages done by the accident. The physical therapists I worked with were caring, compassionate, and unwavering in their resolve to push me toward my ultimate recovery."

• Department of Physical Therapy
  In the Department of Physical Therapy, Jerry evaluates individuals who may have mechanical, functional, or movement-related disorders. He also determines and implements therapeutic interventions through the use of physical agents and assesses ongoing effects of treatment, thereby reducing the risk of injury and promoting maintenance of fitness, health, and wellness.

• Personal
  In his free time, Jerry says, “I truly enjoy outdoor activities including golfing, trail hiking, boating, camping, and anything competitive. I also enjoy more leisurely activities like reading, hanging out with friends, and spending time with my pets."
