    “I decided to become a medical provider because I wanted to see more African-American females in these roles. The specialty of obstetrics and gynecology caught my attention during medical school. I enjoyed being able to take care of my patient medically but also surgically, if warranted.”

    As a physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. King offers care and advice for women from puberty through adulthood. In addition, she provides physical examinations, breast examinations, and pap smears and will help patients with family planning decisions; birth options; and care during pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.
