“I knew early in my life that I had a passion for the medical field and helping others. As a child I did volunteer work in my grandparents’ nursing home and at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Illinois.”
Department of Allergy/ENT
As a physician assistant in Christie Clinic’s Department of Allergy/ENT, Mr. McCammack treats ear, nose, and throat disorders under the direct supervision of Christie otolaryngologists. He has a particular interest in the diagnostic evaluation of patients with voice and swallowing disorders as well as acute patient care.
Personal
Mr. McCammack joined Christie Clinic in 1975, following 10 years of service in the United States Air Force where he was trained as a physician assistant. Mr. McCammack and his wife, Melodie, enjoy traveling, golf, and spending time with family and friends. They have three children and three grandchildren. He also enjoys singing gospel music and leads a quartet that travels to assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and churches throughout the area. Mr. McCammack has also taken an active interest in the community, serving as a past president and member of the board of directors of the Champaign Downtown Development Corporation. He is a past president and member of the board of directors of the Urbana Golf & Country Club. He serves currently as the President of Trustees at his local church.
