Get to know Summer Roeschley

• Why I Became a Nurse
  "When I was a high school student, I spent a summer volunteering at a local hospital. I was late in signing up so consequently the only available opening was on the oncology unit. Through that experience I saw unprecedented nursing care and knew this was the career choice for me. I studied as an undergrad and worked as a registered nurse in the Champaign community. I then decided to return to school for my master’s education and became a nurse practitioner. I have never regretted this career path and absolutely love what I do."

• Department of Family Medicine
  As a nurse practitioner in Christie Clinic’s Department of Family Medicine, Summer helps promote wellness care for infants, children, and adults. She works in collaboration with our physicians to diagnose and treat non-surgical illnesses and disorders for patients of all ages.

• Personal
  Summer really enjoys her job and loves being able to care for people and be a part of their lives. In her spare time, she loves a good laugh, reading, and staying active. She enjoys running, bicycling, swimming, and waterskiing.
