Clinical Research
The Department of Clinical Research conducts phase II-IV clinical trials to evaluate the safety, effectiveness, and optimum dosage of pharmaceutical drugs for patients with specific medical conditions. Depending on the stud our patients receive some medical care at no cost as well as, lab testing, X-rays, and medication throughout each study. This practice allows Christie to be on the forefront of medicine by taking an active role in the development of new medications. Patti Smith, RN, BSN, CCRC and Paula Phillips, RN, CCRC are Certified Clinical Research Coordinators and were certified by The Academy of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP)
Several Christie physicians conduct sponsored trials under FDA Guidelines for different disease processes, including, but not limited to, hypertension, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, arthritis, migraines, bronchitis, and otitis media. Our trained clinical research coordinators are readily available to assist patients through the complete study process.
