    In the Department of Cardiology, Dr. Lakshmi diagnoses and treats diseases of the heart and blood vessels. He also performs noninvasive and invasive diagnostic tests including cardiac catheterization and transesophageal echoes, and he implants pacemakers to correct irregular heart rhythms.
