  "I have always been a "people person" and knew that I wanted to do something that would help others improve their lives. Medicine is the perfect opportunity to do that. I chose OB/GYN as a specialty because I enjoy taking care of women during the most important time in their lives. There is nothing so special as helping a new life come into this world!"

• Department of OB/GYN
  As a physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Francis offers care and advice for women from puberty through adulthood. She provides physical examinations, breast examinations, and pap smears. She also helps patients with family planning decisions; birth options; and care during pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause.

• Personal
  Dr. Francis enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures. She also enjoys spending time with her family, especially since returning from Kenya. She likes to read and enjoys being involved with her church.
