Why I Chose Health Care

I grew up very close to my grandparents. They were extremely active in the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary, so I spent a good part of my childhood around older adults. I feel it is very important to listen to both the patient and the family. Caring for the elderly often takes additional patience and understanding, because medically, socially, and emotionally, they have different needs.
