National Mammography Day

10/18/2018

Wear pink on Friday, October 19th for National Mammography Day.

This day serves as a reminder to all women that the best defense is early detection. A mammogram can often detect a problem before there is any outward physical sign. Make sure you get your regular checkups.

HOW TO OBSERVE NATIONAL MAMMOGRAPHY DAY

1. Make your mammogram appointment

2. Do a breast self-exam

Now's the time to renew your commitment to do monthly breast self-exams. Call your doctor or nurse practitioner for an appointment to show you the correct way to do one.

3. Wear some pink
Pink is the official color of breast cancer awareness including observing National Mammography Day. Proudly wear your pink ribbon or favorite pink outfit. It may seem like a little thing, but for breast cancer survivors, it means they're not alone in their struggle.
