Christie Clinic's Radiology Department uses state-of-the-art equipment to provide high-quality, high-speed images. Our experienced staff includes board-certified physicians and technologists who perform X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET), mammography, radiography, and ultrasound.

Christie Clinic offers the latest in MRI technology. Life Imaging™ MRI uses the Toshiba Vantage 1.5 Ultra-short MRI to offer the fastest diagnostics in the most comfortable environment, with up to 90% scan noise reduction.

For the most advanced cardiovascular health screening, Life Imaging Cardio uses the leading technology of the Toshiba Aquilion™ 64 CFX to scan the heart, providing clear, high-resolution images in less than 10 seconds and giving a more accurate measure of coronary blockage. 

Our radiologists also perform C2 Cardio Check, a noninvasive procedure that can detect calcium in your coronary arteries, which increases your heart attack risk.

Christie Clinic’s Department of Radiology has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The process assures patients, referring physicians, and others that magnetic resonance imaging at accredited facilities are only performed by well-trained and competent personnel using properly functioning equipment.
