Christie Clinic Expands Department of Neurology

Christie Clinic in Champaign on University welcomes Aamer Habib, MD, to the Department of Neurology.  As a physician in the Department of Neurology, Dr. Habib specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the central and peripheral nervous system. He performs EMG/Nerve conduction studies for the diagnosis of diseases of nerves, muscles, cervical and lumbosacral spine diseases (neck and back radiculopathic pain) and neuromuscular junction disorders (Myasthenia Gravis). Dr. Habib injects botox for spasticity and muscle spasms due to stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and for cervical dystonia and chronic migraine.

Dr. Habib received his medical degree and fulfilled his internship at Nishtar Medical College in Multan, Pakistan. He fulfilled his residency in Preliminary Medicine and Neurology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL. During his residency, Dr. Habib was appointed Chief Resident of Neurology.
