Christie Clinic Pharmacy Staff Members Receive Certification

4/8/2010

Gina Stoerger and Lara Coggan recently passed the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE) administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). By passing this exam, they've earned the title Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), and they are now able to assist Christie Clinic's licensed pharmacists.

"Christie Clinic strives to provide the best health care to our patients," said Alan Gleghorn, Christie Clinic's Chief Executive Officer. "By earning their certifications, Gina and Lara are showing their commitment to the patients at Christie Clinic and the field of medicine."

PTCB has certified more than 300,000 pharmacy technicians since its inception in 1995. The PTCE is the only pharmacy technician examination approved by the American Pharmacists Association, the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists, and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
