Christie Clinic’s Department of Radiology will be hosting a Mammogram Brunch on Saturday, May 5 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Christie on University in Champaign on the 3rd floor. Bagels, fruit, mimosas and other refreshments will be provided. The brunch will be sponsored in part by Abbot’s Florist, Einstein Bagels, and Piccadilly.
Women who wish to attend must call to schedule an appointment and must fit the insurance criteria for an annual screening mammogram. Diagnostic mammograms will not be offered at the event.
There will be an opportunity for women to be a part of a video that will be used to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. Women attending the brunch will be given the option to help Christie Clinic reach out to women who may not realize the value that mammography offers. Video testimonials will be recorded explaining the role that mammograms have played for each woman who is willing to participate.
