Dr. Steven Damore Named Chair of the Cancer Services Committee

Dr. Steven Damore was appointed by the Board of Directors as the new Chairman of the Cancer Services Committee at Christie Clinic. The Cancer Services Committee reviews the coordination of cancer-related services and provides oversite and develops and implements the strategic plans and objectives for ongoing cancer-related programs at Christie Clinic. Under Dr. Damore’s leadership, there will be a renewed effort to facilitate and promote the coordination of care for cancer patients at Christie Clinic.

Dr. Damore, a Radiation Oncologist, obtained his undergraduate degree from UCLA, medical degree from Washington University, and radiation oncology residency training from University of California, Irvine. He has practiced for over 20 years and has been a part of the Christie Clinic family since 2016. He treats all adult cancers and has specialty experience with stereotactic treatment for brain, spinal, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers. He became a Radiation Oncologist because he enjoys the challenges inherent in the treatment of cancer and because the treatment patients receive can make such a difference in their lives, especially when it is delivered with respect, care and compassion.
