Christie Clinic is pleased to welcome Surina Kumar, MD to the Department of Endocrinology, located at 1801 W Windsor Rd in Champaign. Dr. Kumar specializes in treating patients affected by diabetes, obesity, thyroid disorders, hormonal imbalances, hypertension and other diseases.
Dr. Kumar attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL for her undergraduate degree and earned her medical degree from Aureus University School of Medicine in Oranjestad, Aruba. She completed an internal medicine residency at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, IL, followed by an endocrinology fellowship at University of Illinois Chicago. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, and the Endocrine Society.
