The Champaign County Medical Society (CCMS) selected Christie Clinic for the 2025 Physician Champion - Dedicated Community Service Award. The honor acknowledged Christie Clinic's dedication to community service and its long-standing support for Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend. A significant part of this recognition stemmed from Christie Clinic's notable provision of life-saving CPR training.
The award was presented during the Fall Membership Meeting, which was held on Thursday, September 4, 2025. The event took place at the I-Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign. The evening's program included a meal, followed by the award presentation.
Christie Clinic's vital community work included its role in expanding CPR training. After a cardiac event during the 2024 Christie Clinic Illinois Half-Marathon, a free Hands-Only CPR training program was initiated. The program was led by the Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend team and sought to equip more members of the community with this critical, life-saving skill. The Physician Champaign - Dedicated Community Service Award represented a testament to Christie Clinic's proactive efforts and its commitment to improving community well-being in Champaign County.
