Christie Clinic and Carle Health partner to create Champaign Endoscopy Center

Christie Clinic and Carle Health are partnering to create the Champaign Endoscopy Center to increase access to specialized healthcare in a convenient setting and support the growing demand for digestive healthcare in the region. The Champaign Endoscopy Center is scheduled to open in summer 2026.

As the needs of patients continue to grow, this new facility will expand the colonoscopy and upper endoscopy services from Carle Foundation Hospital and the Champaign Surgery Center.

Located at 1702 S Mattis, Champaign, at the modern procedural space patients will have access to timely, comprehensive digestive health services at a convenient location. This facility will house a dedicated clinical team, which allows the Digestive Health Institute at Carle Foundation Hospital to focus on more complex procedures. The additional procedural space will allow patients to more easily schedule endoscopic procedures, improving their experience and health outcomes.

Colonoscopies remain the gold standard for colorectal cancer screening and prevention. With rising cases of younger adults in the U.S. diagnosed with colorectal cancer, this center will improve local access to this critical healthcare service.

“Access to gastroenterological care is a growing challenge across the country, particularly when it comes to timely screening and preventive procedures,” said Zach Sehy, Chief Operating Officer at Christie Clinic. “Through this partnership with Carle Health, we’re meeting that national challenge. Having a center exclusively dedicated to endoscopy services creates more efficient care and better access to the screenings and treatment our patients need.”

"This center allows us to extend our services in a dedicated clinical space where highly skilled physicians can perform endoscopy procedures for patients in our local and surrounding communities," said Kerry Fox, MBA, vice president, Clinical Operations, Carle Health. "Our partnership with Christie Clinic has proven to support better health outcomes for community members. We are focused on creating more healthcare access to our most common care needs through high-quality, compassionate care."

Both healthcare organizations are committed to supporting patients in receiving the services they need and improving access for the area. Renovations are currently underway at the new center, which is expected to open in the summer of 2026.
