This was not just a choice but a calling. At the age of 6, I declared to my parents that I was going to be a physician, because I wanted to help people. That calling remains strong today. I am blessed to have a career that I love and enjoy.
In the Department of Internal Medicine, Dr. Berck provides comprehensive medical care for patients 18 years and older with an emphasis on wellness and preventative care.
My greatest joy is my family that includes 3 sons and my amazing husband Chad. I am able to dedicate my life to being a physician because of his sacrifices, support, and love. On a Friday night I am at home with my boys. When I’m not working or with my family you’ll find me doing some form of physical exercise. I love running, I’ve logged 11,000 miles since 2014. I also love HIIT and toning.Another interesting fact is that I was born in Hungary and immigrated to the US at the age of 6; my father was offered a professorship in North Carolina. I have volunteered at the Community Healthcare Clinic for the last 15 years as a volunteer physician. I was a member of the Carle Health Physician Partners Board of Directors from 2018 to 2023. I have served on the Medical Hills executive committee since 2017.

Historically, it was the physician that was the center and “put on a pedestal.” However it is very much the opposite. I am very blessed to be chosen as the doctor of my patients. It is a privilege to be their physician and an honor to be included in their lives. I am walking and aiding the path of life alongside them.
