Driven by her lifelong interest in the human body, in the Department of Gastroenterology, Amee treats patients with gastrointestinal conditions and concerns.
I received a lot of inspiration from family members who were in healthcare. Seeing the ways in which they utilized their education and training to selflessly serve those in and out of the healthcare environment, motivated me to also pursue a career in healthcare so that I could give back to my community in the same way.
Outside of the clinic I can usually be found spending time with family, reading, hiking and doing some sort of outdoor activity.

My NP training is primarily in family medicine. However, during my clinical experiences I had the opportunity to care for some patients that presented with basic GI related issues. As I cared for these patients, I became more interested in learning about digestive health, patient education surrounding healthy dietary practices for various GI conditions, as well as the latest guidelines on recommended pharmacological treatments for conditions such as IBD.
