What drew me to healthcare was the idea that medicine is as much an art as it is a science. Every patient tells a different story, and figuring out how to piece together their symptoms, history and personality into the right treatment plan feels like a craft you spend a lifetime refining.
In the Department of Gastroenterology, Dr. Pamarthy provides personalized care for patients with digestive and liver conditions, tailoring treatment to each patient's unique needs.
Outside of work, I love to travel — it’s my favorite way to recharge and see the world differently. Some of my favorite trips have taken me to Utah and Alaska for the incredible landscapes, and to places like New York and Key West for a completely different vibe — I love that contrast. Photography goes hand-in-hand with that; a lot of my trips end up being as much about capturing the moment as experiencing it. And I’m a bit of a foodie too — I love trying new restaurants wherever I go, whether it’s a hole-in-the-wall spot or something new back home.

What’s surprised me most about working in healthcare is how much trust patients place in you, even from the very first visit. People share some of their most personal, vulnerable moments with you almost immediately, and that trust is something I never take for granted. It’s a reminder that medicine isn’t just about treating a condition — it’s about the relationship you build along the way.
