Dermal Fillers 

Dermal fillers are the main way dermatology providers customize lip appearance. At Christie Clinic, injectable fillers are used to restore or enhance volume, improve shape and define the lips:

  • Injectable fillers (e.g., Juvederm, Belotero, RHA Collection, Radiesse) can be used to add volume to thin lips, define the vermilion border (lip outline), smooth fine lines around the mouth and balance asymmetry for a more proportionate smile.

Lip fillers are a very popular cosmetic option for creating fuller, more youthful lips or smoothing “smoker’s lines” around the mouth.

Neuromodulator

In addition to fillers, Christie Clinic’s injectables offerings include products that may be used to support lip area enhancement as part of overall facial rejuvenation — particularly if other facial structures around the mouth are being addressed.

Note: Botox® Cosmetic itself isn’t typically used in the lips for fullness, but in some cases can be used very selectively to adjust muscle movement around the mouth (“lip flip”). This would be discussed during a consultation.

Skin-Rejuvenating Treatments

While not targeted only at the lips, some cosmetic procedures improve the skin and texture around the mouth, which enhances the overall effect of lip treatments:

  • Chemical Peels (SkinMedica® peels) — address superficial lines, discoloration and can give smoother, brighter skin overall.
  • Hydrafacials — medical-grade facial treatment that cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates, improving skin appearance.

Laser and Energy-Based Treatments 

Some treatments indirectly support skin quality by enhancing collagen or tightening skin:

  • SkinPen Microneedling — tiny controlled skin injuries trigger collagen production and enhance texture.
  • Radiofrequency Microneedling (e.g., Secret RF) — the device uses microneedles to create micro-injuries while simultaneously delivering fractional RF energy into the dermis, this combination triggers the body's natural healing process, stimulating new collagen and elastin production.
  • Laser Skin Rejuvenation (e.g., Fraxel®, Laser Genesis, Pearl/Pearl Fractional) — laser procedures that stimulate collagen, reduce fine lines, sun damage and improve skin texture.
  • CO2 Laser (e.g., Tetra Pro) — an advanced fractional carbon dioxide laser used for skin resurfacing. It treats wrinkles, sun damage, acne scars and uneven texture by stimulating new collagen production.
