Christie Clinic’s Department of Neurology is now offering an In Home Ambulatory Video EEG. The state-of-the-art digital In Home Ambulatory Video EEG test records brainwaves on an EEG and a video of what is going on at the same time.

Video EEG tests can be done at home making them convenient, non-invasive and comfortable. This testing may help record a person's activity and seizures during their routine daily activities and during sleep. Testing can take anywhere from 24-72 hours depending on the patient.

Advantages of this service include regular environment and stress where episodes spontaneously occur, home comfort and no need to travel, lower cost compared to inpatient EEG video monitoring, and expanded length of test 24, 48 and 72 hours allows greater opportunity to capture those events that happen intermittently and only under certain circumstances.
