As I was growing up in South Korea, my mother got me a set of biographies of the most influential people in human history. The person who left the greatest impression on me was Albert Schweitzer, who was a medical missionary to Gahon, Africa in the early 1900’s. He was enduring medical epidemics such as sleeping sickness and malaria, with the people of Africa with such a sacrificial heart. That heart is what I longed to have toward people who are sick. That is what motivated me to become a physician. At the end of the day, I want to strive to give all that I have in my services to those who are ill.
I enjoy spending time with my family and playing board games, volleyball, and basketball.

I believe that the communication between a patient and a doctor is the most important aspect of medicine. I want to not only hear about their symptoms, but also understand the person holistically as well. I want my patients to feel comfortable about sharing their medical problems with me and I will do my best to help them. I consider it a great privilege and an honor when an individual trusts me with their health.
