My inspiration for healthcare started when I was a child. I have always been drawn to helping people, giving back to my community, and finding ways to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Whether it was volunteering locally or working as a personal trainer, I found fulfillment in supporting people, encouraging them and helping them work toward a better version of themselves. Medicine felt like the perfect avenue to continue that purpose on a deeper level.
In the Department of Department of Family Medicine, Dr. Ratra is dedicated to preventive health, patient education and building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients of all ages and their families. With experience caring for diverse populations and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Ratra takes a comprehensive approach to addressing each patient’s individual healthcare needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with family, working out, cooking, watching movies, listening to music and finding new places to explore. I also enjoy hiking, traveling, photography, cars, comedy and participating in local community events. I like staying active and connected, whether that means playing sports, trying something new or simply enjoying time with the people who matter most to me.

I’m inspired by the opportunity to care for people during important and often vulnerable moments in their lives, whether that means providing medical guidance, offering reassurance or simply being present and listening. Family medicine especially allows me to build lasting relationships with patients and serve the community in a way that feels personal, meaningful and impactful.
